VARs VARs are the members of VARportal that hold the end user client relationship. VARs join so members looking for immediate technical assistance within their geographic service area or specific areas of expertise can find them. VAR members include:

  • ERP or CRM Implementers
  • Professional Services Organizations
  • Value Added Resellers
   
Channel Channel Members are organizations that have formalized Channel Programs geared toward VAR members. Channel member profiles describe solutions offered and how VAR members can help sell, support, and recommend these solutions to end user clients. Channel members have the opportunity to explain partner programs in detail so the appropriate members can make informed decisions.
Channel members include:

  • Software Publishers
  • Hardware OEMs
  • Independent Software Vendors (ISVs)
  • Managed Service Providers (MSPs)
  • Technology Training Organizations

Consultant Consultants join to showcase their skills to VAR members. Consultant members sub contract their services to VARs to fulfill specific client requirements. They can also search for Job opportunities posted by VAR members where their skills fit and will receive notification when VARs request their services. Consultant members include:

  • Infrastructure Consultants
  • Software Developers
  • Design Architects

Business Service Provider Business Service Providers (BSP’s) join to showcase their proven business solutions to the Technology Services Community. Prospect, advertise, and network with VAR and Channel Organizations in need of business or departmental assistance. BSP members are invited to join VARportal based on their expertise and success helping Technology Service Organizations. BSP Members include:

PartnerOps

PartnerOps are opportunities for VARportal members to work together. The Opportunity to develop short and long term partnerships within the VARportal Community is one of the most important reasons our members join.
There are four types of “PartnerOps”:

Specific Project Partnering - Need help providing a business solution to a customer? Use this type of PartnerOp to locate resources to serve an immediate client need.

Strategic Partnering Opportunity - Locate strategic partner relationships that complement your business strategy.


Lead Swap – Inform other members about opportunities that you have uncovered but don't fit within your core capabilities. You can help the prospect or client identify an appropriate provider and receive a finder's fee for your effort!


Business Requirement - Find service providers to assist with your operational business needs. This PartnerOp type is helpful in locating business service providers who provide non-technical skills to the VARportal community. Examples of business service providers in this category would be Marketing, Training, HR Outsourcing, Accounting, Recruiting etc..

   
Document & Tools Documents (presentations, spreadsheets, .pdfs and other material) can be profiled in VARportal. The document profile is easily searchable, viewed, and downloaded by any member of VARportal.
   
Events Members list their events by creating an Event Profile in VARportal. The Event Profile is easily searchable by members of the VARportal community.
   
Job & Assignments Listing a job opening in VARportal allows a company to broadcast its staffing needs directly to the Technology Services Community. A completed job listing is immediately seen by experienced consultants looking for assignments.
